Welcome to the blog "Journey with brush"

Welcome to the blog "Journey with brush".

I have started painting since my childhood but when I reached graduation level I left it due to various reasons. But suddenly last year (2009) I got the inner call to restart.

Some of my friends, colleagues & relatives appreciated my paintings & encouraged to continue with my painting. They often ask me to show them my latest paintings. So, I decided to create this blog to display my work to them who love, adore & appreciate painting. I would also expect genuine feedback as my journey with brush will continue as well as my learning process.

Thank you for visiting the blog "Journey with brush".

Forest land

Even though I am sharing this painting with you, but I miserably failed to reflect the way I decided to reflect it prior to the start of this painting.

Brigham

A scene of the main street of Brigham city. Gateway to the world's greatest wild bird refuge.

Aqua life

Beneath the sea there is some hidden beauty. I just tried to capture the same in this painting.
I used different techniques to reflect how I feel about the aqua life.

Vase with wild flower

Last couple of nights back I tried a quick painting using the combination of flat & pointed brush. Here is the result.

Ternopil-Ukraine

Ternopil, a city of Ukraine. I love this sort of buildings of European country.

Wooden House of Arunachal (NE India)

I am not satisfied with this painting but some of my friends loved it.

County Road

Trying to capture a moment of afternoon.

City Scape

Even though I have completed this painting in one sitting my neighbour has disturbed in between so while the work was on progress I was not sure about the outcome.

The Ghat of Varanasi

Usually I don't use flat brush. But most of the work of this painting I did using flat brush.

Orchid

I tried a different trick in this painting especially in the background & satisfied with the outcome.
I may use the same trick in future when need arises depending upon the painting.

Yellow Rose

I painted the back ground more carefully then the rose.

The Rose

I have painted this piece in 3 sittings. Before completing this painting I was not sure about the outcome. But the end result was not bad.
