To be honest I have done this painting just for fun and to play with colours. I was sure about the result when I started this painting. However, the painting turned out to be a good one than I expected.

Valley of flowers

Valley of flowers is a vibrant and splendid national park reposing in West Himalayas. Valley of flowers is famous for its charming meadows of alpine flowers. Endowed with a diverse range of endemic flora, it is pictureasque in its beauty. This virtual paradise has been unknown to the outside world till the great mountainer Frank S Smith discovered it in the year 1931.

Memory lane

Couple of years back I have visited a place called Deomali, which is in north eastern part of India. The road leads to that place mesmerized me enough to do a similar painting. 

The impression of the road is here. I have dedicated this painting to the people who loves, enjoy and appreciate natural beauty.

When I have visited the blog after a long gap, I realized that the last painting I posted was for one the person whom I respect and adore most. 

So, I decided to post a painting which I have done for one of my best friend.

The colours of autumn

I have decided to start this year with something special & the result is “The colours of autumn”.

I did this painting for the person who has inspired & encouraged me various way to continue with my painting & also helped me to face/ handle some of the critical circumstances of my professional as well as personal life. He is a Psychiatrist & don’t confuse, he is my colleague with whom I share my personal life & with whom I have worked for last 3 years.

I have painted “The colours of autumn” for him keeping in mind his affinity towards the nature.

Road ahead

“Road ahead”, I have completed this painting couple of days back with soft pastel on paper. The result of this painting is not great, as the color changed after spraying the fixative. But still I have selected this painting “Road ahead” for this post as a New Road, a New Horizon, a New Year is ahead of us.

The lonely tree

In this painting I just tried to capture the beauty of nature with limited components. I did this painting on paper with oil pastel. Every time I work with oil pastel, I experience some limitations of this medium (or may be it is my incapability of handling the medium). The same repeated in this painting also. But still the outcome of this painting has satisfied me.

Rainforest

Rainforests are characterized by the high rainfall. Rainforests are the habitats of most of the species of the world including plants, animals, birds, insects & microorganisms etc. Rainforests are called as the "jewel of the earth". So, somehow this jewel of the earth has fascinated me to capture them on paper.

I have used oil pastel & paper for this painting. I am not very much comfortable with oil pastel. So, your expert opinions, suggestions & feedbacks are most welcome.

Landscape

I have not been in touch with pastel colour for a significant amount of time. So, this time I decided to do some work with pastel and the result is “landscape”, a simple landscape.  I am somehow happy with the outcome. But still I expect your valuable comments, feedbacks & suggestions.
